Template Letters should only be created and edited using the UniWord Letter Editor as the field codes are unique to UniWord. Although you can open most documents created with UniWord in other wordprocessors, you should not save back the original document created with UniWord with another wordprocessor as embedded control codes may cause UniWord to error. You can however save the document created with UniWord to another file name and use it for your own purposes.

Using Existing Letters

If you have existing letters you want to use wih UniWord, it's best to have the two wordprocessors open at the same time. Open UniWord with a New Document, then switch to the other wordprocessor (Alt TAB), copy and paste to UniWord.

You can also try saving the letter in the other wordprocessor as an RTF file and then open it in UniWord.
