Blank Document

A new blank page is presented titled UNTITLED.URD .

You can now start typing and laying out you document.

To save your work - See: Saving a Letter

Pick from Template

See also: Editor Preferences & Defaults

Defined Letterhead Template

When you click on the Defined Letterhead Template choice, the file you set as the default letterhead file name and location is opened and the file is given a name of UNTITLED.URT .

When you save the altered document template or letter, pay attention to where you are saving it and the type of file you save it as. By default the file is given a .URD extension which will strip out field codes and replace them with the contents of the database field so ONLY SAVE AS A URD TYPE if the document is to be used as a letter.

To avoid saving a file as a letter with a double extension type eg. untitled.urt.urd , remove the .urt reference.

If the document is to be a new template letter, change the Save as type to URT. Pick the Templates folder from the Save in choices.
