Inserting Field Codes
Refer to: Field Codes
Field Codes are special codes which instruct the wordprocessor to substitute database field contents into the document at a specific location in the text. Field codes can also manipulate data from the databases to display a calculated result or a combination of other data field elements.
For Example, your bookings file has a separate field for the persons first name and surname, there is a Field Code which combines the First Name and Surname so that you don't have to enter separate field codes for each field.

Fields can be chosen from the Bookings file, Email and List file (Prospects - waiting list)
Letters can and should only contain linked insertable fields from one file at a time. Do not mix fields from one file with another.
The Mail Merge and UniWord windows detect which type of inserted field is in use and open the relevant datafile automatically when you open a template letter which contains linked fields.
