To start UniRes ….

From your desktop Taskbar select Start        


Select Programs                                



Select UniRes 11                               

Select Unires 11 again from the submenu.        


Or if you have a desktop shortcut for UniRes, just double-click on the desktop shortcut icon.


Tip: Use the Sample Company to Try UniRes. Use real data when using the 'Your Company' data file.



1. Now that you have installed UniRes, become familiar with UniRes. Use the following topics to learn how the UniRes program is presented to you and how it works.


Tip: You can press the F1 Key at the top of your keyboard to display help about the UniRes screen you are viewing.


2. Explore UniRes, experiment with the Sample Company entering New Bookings, Charges and printing receipts. Then, while in the Sample Company, add some Site Types, add New Site Numbers to the new site types and add new charge rates for the new site types. Remember to refer back to the How UniRes Works topic frequently to reinforce what you learn. Keep it simple and don't get too side-tracked with other things. When you understand the basic booking, billing and receipting structure and how site types, site numbering and site rates files are used (the File Maintenance files), you have mastered the basic functions in UniRes.


3.  Look at the How To ... topics in the main help topics about each program in UniRes to learn how to do more advanced things. To get the most out of UniRes, you must explore UniRes fully and try out as much as you can. Many new users just learn the basics and find out much later that certain tasks could have been done much easier. Or worse still, did not realize that the capability they thought didn't exist in UniRes was actually there!


4.  Now that you know all about UniRes, you will want to Set up your Real Company. But first Define your Park, making a decision on how you are going to use UniRes. Every park is organized differently and you must choose now how you want to define your park to UniRes. The File Maintenance programs are used to set up your park and are organized in a logical sequence order, starting with Company File Maintenance, GST Tax rates, System Access etc ...
